The Vikings open their four-game exhibition scheduled tonight against the Buffalo Bills. You won't be seeing much of the players who are expected to start when the games count for real beginning Sept. 11 against New Orleans, but the battle for roster spots takes a jump from the practice field to game conditions starting now.
One update to pass along: Cornerback Trae Waynes injured his shoulder on the opening play and did not return.
