There is a lot of well-deserved praise out there for Minnesota Gophers football Coach Jerry Kill as he navigates through his health issues with determination and vigor, but I would like to add praise for his devoted wife, Rebecca — a silent hero we never hear too much about. Thank you, Rebecca, for driving 14 hours round-trip to Northwestern University (leaving the Twin Cities at approximately 4 a.m.) so that the coach could make an appearance at Saturday's game ("Well worth the drive," Oct. 20). It is people like you who make this world a better place. Our team certainly appreciated your husband's presence, and I appreciate yours.
