I have been a hockey fan all my life and still play once a week in an over-60 league, so don't attribute this to my being a fair-weather fan. I have attended several Minnesota Wild games a year, but that is over.

The team and league are only concerned about the fans' money and nothing else. I won't be going to any Wild games, and I doubt if my two adult sons will attend. I am asking fans to boycott at least five games this year.

I know most fans will eventually come back, but a show of strength is needed to show the money-grubbers on both sides that the fans can't be treated like this. It is time for the fans to unite and treat the National Hockey League like it has treated us -- with total disregard.
