Well, Phil Hughes wasn't a member of the bullpen for long.
The righthander will start tonight after the Twins learned that Kyle Gibson, who was supposed to start tonight, has a sore back.
Gibson was to make his first start since April 22 after recovering from shoulder soreness. He made two starts for Class A Fort Myers in preparation for his return to the mound.
Hughes, 1-7, was removed from the rotation after Saturday's outing, during which he gave up four runs and failed to pitch out of the fifth inning. The Twins open a four-game series against the Rays tonight at Target Field.
