Good morning, commuters!

Those who use the Stillwater Lift Bridge will be happy to know that starting at 4 p.m. today they can return their old route. MnDOT says the bridge over the St. Croix River will reopen after being closed since June 23 due to high water in the Stillwater area.

The bridge connecting Stillwater with western Wisconsin will resume its normal lift schedule Friday night.

Still no word as to when crossings over the Minnesota River at Hwy. 101 and Hwy. 41 will reopen. Until then, we'll be dealing with extra traffic on northbound 35W and Hwy. 169.

I'll be keeping an eye on the roads and rails this morning, reporting any delays or issues — and I will need your help.

If you see or hear about any congestion, delays or problems, e-mail drive@startribune or tweet @stribdrive.
