Good morning, commuters!

Even though the snow has moved out of the area, this could still be a difficult commute. MnDOT has been out all night plowing roads and putting down salt to get the roads clear.

The issue today will be the refreeze and the resulting slick spots. Expect bridge decks, ramps and city streets to be icy.

Currently the State Patrol is cleaning up a wreck on the right shoulder of westbound 494 at Prairie Center Drive.

There also is word of a car fire at I-494 and Hwy. 61 in Newport.

Transit riders, bundle up. Temperatures are in the single digits and windchills below zero, so it will be a might cold wait at the bus stop or rail platform.

I'll be keeping an eye on the roads and rails this morning, reporting any delays or issues — and I will need your help.

If you see or hear about any congestion, delays or problems, e-mail drive@startribune or tweet @stribdrive.
