Good morning, commuters!

This could be a miserable Monday morning drive to work as a snow storm is moving into the Twin Cities just as commute get underway. Meteorologist Paul Douglas says up to 6 inches could fall by noon. Adding to is, high winds will cause blowing and drifting.

If there is a saving grace, it is President's Day, meaning there likely will be less traffic on the roads as some schools and businesses are closed today.

Minnesota Valley Transit Authority routes 460, 465 and 477 will operate on a reduced schedule today due to the holiday. All other MVTA routes will run as usual.

Smart Link Transit's Shakpee Circulator and Route 496 will not operate today.

Metro Transit, Plymouth Metrolink, Maple Grove Transit and SouthWest Transit will operate all routes as usual today.

I'll be keeping an eye on the roads and rails this morning, reporting any delays or issues — and I will need your help.

If you see or hear about any congestion, delays or problems, e-mail drive@startribune or tweet @stribdrive.
