Good morning commuters.

It's the morning after one of the heaviest snowfalls in a couple of years and roads are in fair condition according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

Freeways are generally wet with patchy slick spots especially on ramps and bridges. Other roads are wet, snow packed and ice covered so that means you'll need more time to get to work or school. Pack some patience and bring along a book on tape or your favorite CD to help you make it through the rush hour.

Metro Transit buses are operating as usual today, but expect delays. At 5 a.m., 40 buses are running on 25 routes and the average delay is 3 minutes. The Hiawatha Light Rail is running on time.

Look for a spinout on northbound Hwy. 169 at Medicine Lake Road in New Hope. The ramp is blocked.
