Karl-Anthony Towns scored his 3,000th career point in style Wednesday night. The young Wolves star completed a breakaway with a powerful one-handed dunk that ignited Target Center early in the second quarter.

The 21-year-old joined the company of LeBron James and Dwight Howard as one of the youngest players in NBA history to reach 3,000 points, according to statmuse.com's Justin Kubatko.

Towns is the third-youngest player to score 3,000 points in the past 30 years behind James and Howard. James achieved the milestone at 21 years and 79 days old. Howard was the youngest at 21 years and 46 days old. Towns was 21 years and 113 days old.

Towns on Wednesday also became the second-youngest player in NBA history to record 100 double-doubles. He scored 29 points and 14 rebounds in the win over the Clippers. Howard was also the youngest to hit this milestone at 20 years, 351 days.
