BAND OF SILENCE got involved in a match race before pulling away in the slop last out winning by over five lengths breaking his maiden. Early speed dominated this track last year and this 4-year-old could be out front as lone speed to shake loose. SLICKROCK ROAD too got his first win in the slop in a 6f sprint at Oaklawn while closing from far back. Should enjoy the stretch-out and class relief. LIVE A LITTLE circled the field and finished well to grab third at Sunland Park last out and looms a off-the-pace threat to the favorite.

Ran third in this stakes race last year coming off the bench as the favorite. GYPSY MELODY will show early speed coming from the outside post but must avoid a speed duel with a field full of possible front runners. Defending champion of this race the past two years HIDDEN GOLD, could get her third gold medal with the strong chance of a possible meltdown up front. Gets Bell back aboard who won as a team 2 years back.

WINE THIEF comes off a win in a mile turf race with good early speed and should press the pace while enjoying the cutback in distance.

Most wide open race of the evening is the nightcap. JANTZESFANCYFRIEND lone start was here last August and settled for second after grabbing early lead before weakening in final furlong. Could prove tough with early speed off the rail. BOURBON COUNTY had slow beginning in first start couple months back but should improve for the Rhone barn second time out. DE BALA has decent early speed and could be a longshot threat for first time Canterbury trainer McKenzie who does well with barn first time claiming draftees.
