Streets around the Xcel Energy Center in downtown St. Paul will see extra traffic as more than 18,000 students from across Minnesota who have devoted time to volunteer work and community service projects over the past school year flock to the arena.

The celebration featuring inspirational speakers, world-renowned performers and presenters to celebrate their commitment to taking action on local and global causes they are passionate about, begins at 9:15 a.m. The lineup includes Lilly Singh, OMI, Sabrina Carpenter, Paula Abdul, Olivia Holt, Jordan Smith, Serena Ryder, George Takei and others.

At times during the event, 5th Street will be closed between 7th Street and Washington Street. Several Metro Transit routes will be on detour from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Buses that normally run eastbound on 5th Street will turn left on 7th Street, then right on St Peter, and back to 5th Street. Riders should board buses on 5th St between Wabasha and Cedar Streets or on 7th Street.
