"Be counted." That's the objective of census-takers, but it doesn't always translate well into other languages. In Minneapolis, after consulting with members of the following communities, an advisory committee came up with these phrases, translated into English, to communicate "be counted":

Spanish: Make yourself count.

Somali: Be the one to be counted.

Hmong: You are very important.

Lao: Your participation is very important.
