Here is a heads up for motorists who use westbound I-94 through downtown Minneapolis. For the next two nights, the freeway will be closed at the Hennepin/Lyndale Avenue exit from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
MnDOT will be doing a resurfacing project from LaSalle Avenue to the southern entrance of the Lowry Hill Tunnel. Traffic will be funneld off the freeway at Hennepin and routed via the Prohibited Vehicle Route on Lyndale Avenue and back onto 94.
New traffic management system signs also will be installed while the road is shut down Tuesday and Wednesday nights, MnDOT says.
Eastbound lanes will remain open.
