If you're road-tripping or hopping a short flight to Milwaukee for the Gophers men's basketball team's first NCAA tournament game since 2013, chances are you are at least somewhat familiar with the city.

That said, you probably also have more important things to worry about — clearing your schedule, arranging transportation and oh, yeah, a 3 p.m. tip-off Thursday between the Gophers and Middle Tennessee — than trying to figure out your itinerary outside of time spent at Bradley Center.

With that in mind, here are a few helpful tips for what could be a long, glorious weekend.

*Reader Nick recommends the Points East Pub in Milwaukee. If you like wings — even fake boneless ones like those enjoyed by Go 96 radio personality Dana Wessel — this is a good idea.

Ross has a few recommendations, including the Bay View neighborhood. I'm definitely on board with that — tons of great places there, and a vibe very much like Northeast Minneapolis.

Looking for a slightly more refined meal? Here are a couple thoughts:

Looking to stuff your face with burgers and custard? Kopps! Yummmmmmmmm.

There were a couple of suggestions for Lakefront Brewery. Can't argue with that, even if I might have had a regrettable incident after a tour there once.

Looking for a bunch of sports bars? On Milwaukee has a comprehensive guide.

I'd add my own personal recommendation: The Safe House. Fun place and at one of the bars the bartender doubles as a magician. It's fantastic.
