Another one of those "Only in Har Mar Superstar's World" kind of news reports: About to hit the road with a full band behind his impressive throwback album "Bye Bye 17," the Minnesota-bred singer/actor/character is also working on plans for a new TV show with none other than Josh Tillman of Father John Misty fame. As comedic as that sounds, it's actually turned into quite a serious endeavor.

"We're working on scripts and really going ahead with the development phase," said the artist locally known as Sean Tillmann (the extra "n" in the name is proof he and Josh are not related; as is their total lack of physical likeness).

The idea for the show is to have the two real-life singers playing "sort of a country music duo past our prime," Tillmann said. Father John Misty keyboardist Kyle Flynn is also involved in the writing of the project. Har Mar has toured with the FJM crew, including a 7th Street Entry show with them last year. There are YouTube clips up of Tillman playing drums behind Tillmann at several gigs.

If you've seen any of the many local FJM gigs over the past year, you know how sharp and sardonic a wit Josh has. Working as Har Mar, Sean is already known for his on-screen comedic acting ability in movies ("Starsky & Hutch") and commercials (Vladivar Vodka). It goes without saying: Stay tuned.

First, though, Har Mar is going to get serious about touting his well-received new record. His tour kicks off back home at First Avenue on Sept. 20, followed by a gig at Pizza Lucé in Duluth a night later.
