A Metro Transit Green Line train struck a pedestrian in St. Paul Monday night, disrupting light rail service, according to Metro Transit officials.

The crash occurred around 7:50 p.m. at the intersection of University Ave. and Prior Ave, said Howie Padilla, Metro Transit spokesman. An eastbound train hit an adult male, who was transported to Regions Hospital. The extent of the victim's injuries is unknown. Investigators are at the scene.

After a temporary shutdown, trains are running, but passengers can expect delays in both directions.
