MarQueis Gray is not on the injury list released by coach Jerry Kill on Thursday, apparently meaning the junior quarterback will start as usual against Michigan on Saturday.
Starting cornerback Troy Stoudermire, however, will sit out the game while his fractured forearm heals.
Gray did not practice on Wednesday while rehabbing a sore foot and toe, and Kill said Thursday's practice would determine whether he would be healthy enough to suit up. Offensive coordinator Matt Limegrover said earlier this week that his plan was for Gray to start against the 19th-ranked Wolverines, with freshman Max Shortell getting playing time as Gray's backup.
Stoudermire played with a cast on his arm last week, and Kill said Wednesday that it had been a mistake, because the senior cornerback's play had been affected by the injury.
Marcus Jones, who suffered a concussion against North Dakota State last week, is not on the injury list and should play.
Linebacker Brendan Beal's knee injury and offensive lineman Josh Campion's concussion, both suffered during fall camp, will keep that pair out for a fifth week, Kill announced. Also declared out for this week's game: reserve cornerback Johnny Johnson, with an ankle injury, and backup center Zack Mottla, with a concussion.
