Parents with small kids, you won't find a better selection of discounted kids clothes, toys, bouncy seats, exersaucers, swings and other accessories than at the Just Between Friends consignment sale from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today through Saturday.

Check out my longer article about these sales in Saturday's paper, but here's a preview. (The photo is from the Eagan sale held a couple of weeks ago. Maple Grove's will be nearly twice as large.

Just Between Friends is one of anearly a dozen seasonal sales around the Twin Cities that features kids stuff at very low prices. Yes, most of it is consignment (some is new w/ tags), but the organizers of the JBW sales are sticklers for all items being clean, stain-free and, in the case of toys, in working order. More than 500 consignors have contributed to this sale, which is one of the largest, if not the largest, in the Twin Cities.

If you haven't been to any of these sales, check this one out. And if you are a parent considering consigning some of your child's castoffs, go to the sale to see how it's done. Most consignors I've spoken to say they get more money at these sales than at garage sales or Once Upon a Child. (Consignors set their own prices at these sales).

The Just Between Friends sale is in the former Circuit City building at 11481 Fountains Dr., Maple Grove. The website also has a coupon to get in free today. Without the coupon, admission is $2 (first day only). Go early (10 a.m. this morning) if you want bigger toys such as exersaucers, swings, cribs or bouncy seats. They sell first. Go late (Saturday) if you want clothes. Saturday is half-price day.
