The Gophers women's hockey team beat New Hampshire 4-0 Sunday, extending the unanimous No. 1 team's NCAA record with its 24th victory in a row.

This victory, which followed a 10-2 rout of the Wildcats on Saturday, enabled the Gophers (16-0) to tie Mercyhurst's NCAA record with 15 consecutive road victories.

"It goes back to last year as well. I think you've got to have a disciplined team that's willing to work hard and play for each other," Gophers coach Brad Frost said. "We've been starting quick on the road, this year in particular."

Lee Stecklein scored in the first period, Rachael Bona and Milica McMillen in the second and Amanda Kessel in the third, with the final goal coming shorthanded. The Gophers had a 43-16 advantage in shots on goal over the Wildcats (6-9-1).

Amanda Leveille made 16 saves in her second career start. It's the first time since Oct. 2, 2010, that someone other than Noora Raty started a road game in goal for the Gophers.

The Gophers play host to rival Wisconsin next weekend, the first meeting between the teams since the Gophers beat the Badgers for this year's national championship.

"I'm looking forward to next week," Frost said.
