Gophers update: A win would send Minnesota (24-10-3) to its seventh consecutive Women's Frozen Four, which will be held March 16-18 at Ridder Arena. The Gophers faced elimination before upsetting Ohio State and Wisconsin last weekend at Ridder to win the WCHA tournament and an automatic NCAA berth. Sidney Peters earned WCHA tourney MVP honors, stopping 64 of 65 shots.

Badgers update: Wisconsin (30-4-2) was 4-0 against Minnesota — all one-goal victories — before losing 3-1 to the Gophers last Sunday. That dropped the Badgers from No. 1 to No. 2 in the PairWise Rankings. The Gophers essentially sit at No. 5. Coach Mark Johnson said his Badgers "shouldn't" be pitted against Minnesota again already, but the NCAA typically works to save airfare during the quarterfinals.
