The ongoing feel-good story of the day has been the more than 100 folks associated with Gophers sports shaving their heads in support of pediatric cancer research and awareness. Gophers WR Connor Cosgrove, who has leukemia, helped organize the event.
Roughly 60 football players were expected to participate, but among the biggest hits appears to be volleyball player Mia Tabberson (pictured, via Star Tribune photographer Brian Peterson).
More than $23,000 toward pediatric cancer research has been raised already, according to the U of M.
Check back later on Startribune.com for a gallery of photos and a video, both by Peterson.
