Were you one of the thousands of people who botched getting Twins tickets to the first home exhibition series at Target Field this April? Don't feel like a total failure, both of those games sold out within 20 minutes. The good news is, you'll have a chance to see the new ballpark in all its glory before any of those folks will.

The team announced Wednesday that the first baseball game to be played at the new stadium will be between the University of Minnesota and Louisiana Tech on March 27 at 1 p.m. Here's the best part: there won't be any stupid virtual waiting rooms or frustrating busy signals. Tickets will be sold at Target Field ticket offices exclusively, beginning at 8 a.m. the day of the game. You might have to knock over a few old ladies, but chances are you'll get a seat.

Even better? They're just $2 and general admission, with all proceeds benefiting the Twins Community Fund.

Seating will be cut off at 25,000 people after the gates open at 9 a.m. and everyone will be thrown out at 5 p.m. sharp. This will be the perfect opportunity to wander around and check out all the neat stuff the new ballpark has to offer, including unique menu items like... not the Dome Dog. Also, there are a couple of different in-house establishments to catch the game from, for those of you old enough to enjoy a refreshing alcoholic beverage.

Do you have anything better going on that Saturday afternoon, besides watching college basketball? Hope to see you there!
