Gophers point guard target Riley LaChance committed to Vanderbilt late Monday night, announcing his decision over Twitter,
The decision came quickly and unexpectedly as the Wisconsin had just returned from his final official visit -- to Iowa -- and the Hawkeyes were thought by many to be a favorite.
The Gophers got their first 2014 commitment earlier in the day when Seattle power forward Josh Martin announced he would play at the University of Minnesota. A point guard is still high on the wish list for the 2014 class.
