SNOW SHOW '15

Dec. 3-4: Hoping to wrap up its first year under a new modern-rock format with a little holiday cheer — and maybe a jeer from competitor 89.3 the Current — Go 96.3 FM has co-branded two December nights at Northrop as Snow Show '15, each featuring bands from the Current's recent Rock the Garden concerts. Los Angeles' "Lazy Eye" hitmakers Silversun Pickups and Toronto's "Breathing Underwater" darlings Metric will pair up again on Night 1, which also offers quirky British rockers the Wombats and "The Voice" alum Melanie Martinez. Night 2 will bring Seattle mainstays Death Cab for Cutie back to Northrop, where they put on a reaffirming show in May after losing original guitarist Chris Walla. Ben Gibbard's remade crew will be joined by Bethany Cosentino's mighty L.A. fuzz-pop band Best Coast plus San Francisco newbies Panic Is Perfect. (7 p.m. Dec. 3-4. $19.53-$47.50 per night. Northrop, University of Minnesota, 34 SE. Church St., Mpls. 612-624-2345, northrop.umn.edu.)
