General Mills said Thursday it has acquired Food Should Taste Good, a Massachusetts-based natural snack foods company. Terms of the deal weren't disclosed.

Food Should Taste Good will become part of Small Planet Foods, Golden Valley-based General Mills' organic products business.

Small Planet Foods is home to the Cascadian Farm, Muir Glen and Larabar brands.

"This acquisition further positions us for continued growth with a great new brand in an entirely new category in our natural and organic business, Michele Meyer, Small Planet Foods' president, said in a news release.

Founded in 2006, Food Should Taste Good makes natural tortilla chips in flavors such as sweet potato, lime, olive and chocolate. It also produces kettle-cooked sweet potato chips.
