A male Garganey, a Eurasian duck species rarely seen in North America, was found Friday at Crex Meadows Wildlife Area just north of Grantsburg, Wisconsin. The bird was seen on a pond at the intersection of County Road F and Able Road. County F goes north from the city of Grantsburg. Able Road is about a mile past County D, the road on which the Crex Nature Center is located. The bird was on the pond at 7:30 Friday night.
