wolves gameday

7 p.m. VS. Portland • target center • fsn, 830-AM

Preview: After Friday's 118-113 overtime loss at Indiana, the Trail Blazers (35-15) have gone 5-5 in their past 10 games after winning five in a row before that. On Saturday, they end a four-game trip that started with a loss at Washington and victory at New York. … The two teams have split the first two games of this year's season series, with the Wolves winning 120-109 at Target Center in December and the Blazers winning 115-104 at Portland two weeks ago. … The Wolves are playing their fourth game in five nights and traveled home Friday night after a late loss in New Orleans. Nine of the past 12 games between the teams have been decided by 10 or more points.

Player to watch: Blazers power forward LaMarcus Aldridge has been Western Conference player of the week three times this season and was named, along with teammate Damian Lillard, a West reserve for next weekend's All-Star Game in New Orleans. Aldridge is the fifth Blazer to be selected for three All-Star Games: Clyde Drexler (eight), Sidney Wicks (four), Maurice Lucas (three) and Brandon Roy (three) are the others. Aldridge has eight games this season of 25 or more points and 15 or more rebounds. Wolves star Kevin Love has done it 14 times, including his past three games before he missed Wednesday's game at Oklahoma City because of a stiff neck and back.

Injuries: Wolves C Nikola Pekovic still is listed as out because of bursitis in his ankle. Love said Friday he's still hurting from that nasty fall he took Tuesday, but he played Friday at New Orleans. The Blazers list no injuries.
