Gophers at a glance: Only one other time in program history have the Gophers (14-4, 3-2 Big Ten) had the misfortune to face four top-15 teams in a row. They are heading to their third in a row at Iowa after splitting the first two. The Gophers rebounded from an overtime loss at Michigan State with a 10-point victory over No. 11 Ohio State on Thursday. Elliott Eliason took over in the paint against the Buckeyes, recording his sixth double-double of the season, one day after being named the team's fourth captain. The Gophers had their best three-point shooting performance of the season, making 11 of 24 attempts (45.8 percent). … Before the Ohio State game, the Gophers had been within at least three points of their opponent at the end of regulation for their first four Big Ten games. … They have lost their past two at Iowa after winning three in a row there from 2009 to 2011.

Iowa at a glance: The Hawkeyes (14-3, 3-1) haven't played since winning at Ohio State last Sunday, a victory that catapulted Iowa from No. 20 to No. 14 in the AP poll. The Hawkeyes have won 19 consecutive home games, two shy of their program record. Iowa's three losses this season are all to teams currently ranked in the top 10 (Villanova, Wisconsin, Iowa State), and all by five points or fewer. Senior guard Devyn Marble, who averaged 18.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.5 steals last week against Northwestern and Ohio State. Aaron White is first in the Big Ten in field-goal percentage, making 65.3 percent of his shots.
