Preview: The Pistons' 98-93 loss to Boston on Wednesday was their fourth loss in five games and 14th in their past 16. One of those losses was a 105-82 defeat to the Wolves in Detroit on March 26. … The Wolves have beaten the Pistons five consecutive times after having lost six of seven before that. They haven't lost to them since a 103-98 decision at Target Center on April 14, 2010.

Players to watch: Pistons F Greg Monroe — the seventh pick in a 2010 draft that brought the Wolves Wes Johnson fourth overall — has recorded a career-high 35 double-doubles this season. He had 24 points and 17 rebounds in Wednesday's loss to the Celtics and tied a career high with four steals when these teams played in Detroit last week. … Pistons rookie C Andre Drummond has returned to action since last week's game and has played four games since missing nearly seven weeks because of a back injury. He still has the third-most blocks in a season (87) by a Pistons rookie, behind only John Salley and Theo Ratliff.

Injuries: Wolves F Kevin Love (hand surgery), G Brandon Roy (knees) and G Malcolm Lee (knee, hip surgeries) are out. Pistons F Jason Maxiell (detached retina) is out and G Will Bynum (hand strain) and Jose Calderon (sore arm) are listed as day to day.
