Funeral services are scheduled to be held Thanksgiving weekend for Pfc. Kham Xiong, the 23-year-old soldier from St. Paul slain at Fort Hood last week. According to family members and the Legacy Funeral Home, a three-day traditional Hmong funeral will be held Nov. 28-30 at the funeral home at 1310 Frost Av. in Maplewood. The home is open from 8 a.m. until 11 p.m. Xiong graduated from Community of Peace Charter School on St. Paul's East Side in 2004 and was scheduled to deploy to Afghanistan in January. His wife and three children had moved to Texas, but are now returning to St. Paul to be with family.
