The Twins have activated outfielder Sam Fuld from the disabled list, where he landed after suffering a concussion when he ran into the center field wall at Target Field last month.

In addition, Eric Fryer was called up from Class AAA Rochester to take Josmil Pinto's place on the roster and Aaron Hicks was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a shoulder injury he suffered when making a diving catch against Houston last weekend.

Fuld missed 32 games for the Twins, and went 6-for-14, with two doubles and a home run, during a rehabilitation assignment at Class AA New Britain; Fryer has played in 36 games for Triple-A Rochester, hitting .252 with seven doubles and 11 RBI.

Both will be in uniform for Friday night's game at Detroit.
