This year's opener forever will be remembered as the year for wind and ice. Being tough guys, we battled it all day long [on Lake Minnetonka]. After all, walleyes are always worth it. Four tired boys left the lake with a handful of walleye tales, and wind-burned faces. In total, we managed eight walleyes for our efforts. Four for the pan, four for the photo album. A far cry from a normal year, but considering the conditions, we called it a success. This opener proves that even on a bad day, fishin' is still good.
