Boys' Tennis

Columbia Heights wins section title: The last time Columbia Heights qualified for the boys' tennis state tournament was … well, no one seems to know. It doesn't matter now, however, because the Hylanders are headed to the Class 1A team tournament following a 5-2 victory over Fridley in the Section 5 finals.

"This year has kind of been a perfect storm for us," coach Ya Yang said. "We have a senior-laden team and they reassigned the section this year. It was a still a big challenge. It wasn't easy. This is a pretty big deal."
