• MINNEAPOLIS WASHBURN 77, MINNEAPOLIS NORTH 73: The Millers upset the Polars, ranked No. 1 in this week's Class 1A poll. North's previous losses came to Hopkins and Wayzata, both in Class 4A. Five players scored in double figures Friday for Washburn. Terrell Adams and Brandon Charles each had 13 for the Millers. Isaac Johnson scored 28 points for the Polars.

• MAPLE GROVE 65, CHAMPLIN PARK 58: Brad Davison scored a game-high 26 points and added five assists to lead the Crimson over the Rebels, their Northwest Suburban rival. The junior scored nine points in the final four minutes to help the Crimson maintain the lead. Maple Grove closed out the first half with a 13-4 run that gave the No. 6 Crimson a 38-31 advantage over the No. 4 Rebels. McKinley Wright had 20 points to lead Champlin Park.

• APPLE VALLEY 86, EASTVIEW 66: Senior Cameron Kirksey scored a season-high 28 points to lead the Eagles past crosstown rival Eastview. Sophomore Tre Jones added 25 points for Apple Valley and added five assists. The Lightning held Gary Trent Jr. to just four points, all on free throws and he attempted only three shots from the field. The junior is one of the metro's top scorers, averaging 27.4 points per game. Sean Ryan had a double-double to lead Eastview with 19 points and 11 rebounds.

• EDINA 70, WAYZATA 65: Will Moreton scored 20 points as the visiting Hornets upset the Trojans, ranked No. 5 in Class 4A. Walt McGrory added 17 points for the winners. Jack Sowada had 22 points to lead Wayzata.

• CRETIN-DERHAM HALL 61, EAST RIDGE 60: Jordan Ammons' three-pointer with 1.8 seconds left gave the Raiders the victory over the Raptors. The senior finished with 16 points. Daniel Oturu led the Raiders with 18 points. Luke Coquyt led East Ridge with 17 points.

Holy Angels prevails

• HOLY ANGELS 80, DELASALLE 74: Senior Laura Bagwell-Katalinich scored a career-high 43 points to lead the Stars over conference rival DeLaSalle. She has committed to play for Penn next year. Megan Meyer added 13 points for the Stars, ranked No. 9 in Class 3A. Aiza Wilson led the Islanders with 16 points.

• SHAKOPEE 82, BURNSVILLE 60: Taylor Koenen, who led the Sabres with 26 points, surpassed the 2,000 career. She is the first Shakopee boy or girl to do so. Koenen will play at North Carolina next year. Caleigh Rodning added 18 points for the Sabres. Hannah Mitby led the Blaze with 18 points.

• LAKEVILLE NORTH 64, EAGAN 63 (OT): Tamira McLemore led all scorers with 20 for the Wildcats as they nearly upset the No. 6-ranked Panthers in overtime. Temi Carda scored 17 points to pace Lakeville North and Sarah Krynski added 16.

• EASTVIEW 69, APPLE VALLEY 54: Megan Walstad led the No. 3-ranked Lightning with 21 points. Rachel Ranke added 17. Marie Olson scored 17 points to lead the Eagles.

• COLUMBIA HEIGHTS 81, FRIDLEY 62: Abby Born and Pashia Scott both scored 20 points to lead the Hylanders to the win. Lala Humphries added another 19. Suzanne Gilreath scored 34 to lead Fridley; The senior is averaging 29 points per game.

Hill-Murray romps

• HILL-MURRAY 9, WOODBURY 1: The defending Class 2A state champions started their playoff run with a decisive victory over the Royals in the Section 4, quarterfinals. Laura Anderson and Haylee Blinkhorn each scored two goals for the Pioneers. Anderson, a senior has committed to play at Yale, also had two assists. Hill-Murray had 66 shots on goal. Kim Taplin scored the lone goal for the Royals.

• HOLY FAMILY/WACONIA 2, SHAKOPEE 1: Molly Garin scored on a power-play goal, which was assisted by Megan Menzuber and Chloe McEnelly, in the second overtime to lead the Wildfire to a win in the Section 2AA quarterfinals. Ashlyn Rakos tied the score for Holy Family/Waconia early in the third period. Goalie Lexi Hartmann stopped 37 of 38 shots for the Wildfire. Jackie Falk scored the Sabres' lone goal. Holy Family/Waconia will take on No. 1 seed Minnetonka in the section semifinals Tuesday.

• EDEN PRAIRIE 8, BLOOMINGTON JEFFERSON 1: Crystalin Hengler had a hat trick to lead the Eagles past the Jaguars in Clas 2A, Section 2 play. Her goal with less than seven minutes left capped the scoring for Eden Prairie. The sophomore defender also had three assists. Freshman Becca Kniss had three assists and a goal for the Eagles. Kendal Fasching scored for Jefferson.

• CHASKA/CHANHASSEN 4, PRIOR LAKE 2: The Storm Hawks scored four consecutive goals after Katie Huntington had given the Lakers a one-goal lead early in the first period in Class 2A, Section 2 action. Lydia Passolt had two goals and Maddy Fiedler and Emilee Anderson had one each. The Storm Hawks will play Eden Prairie on Tuesday in the section semifinals.

BOYS' HOCKEY

• WACONIA 5, ORONO 4: With 1:35 left in regulation, Kyle Kester scored the winning goal unassisted for the Wildcats. It was the junior's second goal of the third period. Shane Reuben had three assists. David McCuskey scored two goals for the Spartans.
