Hopkins tops 'Tonka
• HOPKINS 97, MINNETONKA 79: Xavier Johnson scored 25 points and senior John Warren added 24 points, as Hopkins ran away in the second half from Minnetonka for the Lake Conference victory. Warren scored 18 points in the first half on the back of four 3-pointers, but the Royals only led 42-41 after the opening frame. Johnson exploded in the second half with 20 points as the Royals outscored the Skippers 55-38 to close the game. Hopkins, ranked No. 6 in Class 4A by the Minnesota Basketball News, improved to 13-4 overall and 4-0 in Lake Conference play. Amar Miller scored a game-high 30 points to lead the Skippers.
• ORONO 71, WACONIA 55: Cole Hennings scored 19 points and forward Sam Sustacek chipped in with 13 points in the Wright County victory. Orono led 28-27 at halftime, but Hennings scored 16 of his points in the second half to help the Spartans, ranked No. 7 in Class 3A by the Minnesota Basketball News, secure the victory.
• PRAIRIE SEEDS ACADEMY 63, FAIR 46: Daevon Gibson recorded a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds to lead Prairie Seeds Academy to the victory. Brian Robinson contributed with 24 points to go along with seven rebounds, seven assists, and three steals.
• FARMINGTON 64, BURNSVILLE 59: Wyatt Ferm, Zach Speikers, and Matt Anderson all scored in double figures to lift the Tigers to the South Suburban victory.
• HOLY FAMILY 51, DELANO 50: The Fire used 14 points from Jack Mugford to edge their conference rival.
• CHAMPLIN PARK 88; ANOKA 50: The Raiders raced out to lead 58-33 over Anoka at halftime on their way to the Northwest Suburban victory. Marty Hill led Champlin Park with 21 points and McKinley Wright added 14. Anoka's Gunner Ledin made six three-pointers on his way to 20 points.

North beats South
• LAKEVILLE NORTH 58, LAKEVILLE SOUTH 42: Eleven different players scored in a balanced effort to power the Panthers to the victory over their intercity rivals. Temi Carda was the Panthers high-scorer with 10 points. The Panthers sprinted out to a 28-16 lead at halftime. Lakeville South was led by Sarah Wittman's 12 points.
• HOLY ANGELS 71, FRIDLEY 50: Junior Laura Bagwell-Katalinich scored 23 points and Destinee Oberg added 15 to lead Holy Angels to the victory. Suzanne Gilreath scored a team-high 21 points for Fridley in the loss.
• ST. PAUL HARDING 64, ST. PAUL WASHINGTON 24: Cynthia Walker scored 25 points to help the Knights cruise to the St. Paul City conference victory.
• ST. PAUL CENTRAL 71, ST. PAUL HUMBOLDT 54: Chelcie Kizart scored 32 points and added 6 assists to help pace the Minutemen to the conference victory. Kennedy Gay chipped in with 13 points and 11 rebounds.

Grand Rapids prevails
• GRAND RAPIDS 1, WAYZATA 0: Mitchell Mattson scored the game-winning goal with less than three seconds to play to stun the Trojans on their home ice. Sam Gerth stopped 26 shots.
• DELANO 9 Y, LITCHFIELD/DASSEL-COKATO 2: Ben Meyers scored two goals to help Delano cruise to the victory.

Hastings triumphs
• HASTINGS 4, TARTAN 1: Hastings rode Nicole Klimek's hat trick to the victory. Anna Williams added a goal of her own and goalie Brook Weber stopped 19 shots.
• SPRING LAKE PARK 1, ROBBINSDALE COOPER/ARMSTRONG: Ally Symynkywicz scored the game-winning goal in third period and goalie MacKensay Kelly stopped all 17 shots she faced in the victory.

BUCK HILL INVITATIONAL
• Edina finished first in the 22-team field with a total time of 290.47. The Hornets were led by Andrew Shideman's two-race time of 45.26. Jack Lindsay of the Burnsville/Shakopee team was the medalist with a time of 44.73.

BUCK HILL INVITATIONAL
• Stillwater bested 21 other teams with a total time of 336.69. Story Schwantes was the top finisher for the Ponies with a time of 51.79. The medalist of the race was Chloe Townsend from Edina, who had a time of 50.94.
