Hopkins 72, Minnetonka 67 (OT): After a hard-fought win Tuesday night against Class 1A, No. 1 Minneapolis North, the Class 4A, No. 6 Royals were in danger of a letdown. Instead, they extended their winning streak to nine games by beating the Skippers at home in overtime. Minnetonka trailed by five points at halftime, tied the game in the closing minutes, but was held to a single point in overtime by Hopkins. Senior forward Simon Wright led the Royals with 20 points, Deveraux Davis had 16 and Zeke Nnaji 13. Burt Hedstrom led the Skippers with 18 points. Teammates Matt Haas and Isaiah Carver-Bagley added 15 and 13, respectively. The Royals (21-5) will begin its quest to defend their Class 4A state title starting next week during section play.

Wayzata 68, Edina 67: Down 12 points at the break, the Class 4A, No. 5 Trojans scored 45 points in the second half to avoid an upset at the hands of the unranked Hornets. Jacob Beeninga and Ryan Lindberg scored 20 points apiece for Wayzata. Gavin Baumgartner added 12. Four players scored in double digits for visiting Edina, led by Jack Middleton with 14 points. The win gives the Trojans (23-3) a share of the Lake Conference title with Hopkins.

Maple Grove 66, Andover 41: The Class 4A, No. 2 Crimson held the host Huskies to 15 points in the second half for the win. Senior forward Tywhon Pickford finished with 24 points for Maple Grove, and Brad Davison added 18. Andover was led by Logan Rezac with 16. The Crimson (25-2) finished conference play on top of the West Division standings. Only North Division rival Champlin Park (26-0) finished with a better record in the Northwest Suburban Conference.

Apple Valley 97, Burnsville 57: Junior guard Tre Jones scored 27 points to lead the Class 4A, No. 3 Eagles in a rout of the visiting Blaze. Teammates Mohamed Kone and Mason Morse added 18 and 16, respectively. Julian Hutchinson led Burnsville with 20 points. Apple Valley (24-2) finished the regular season 18-0 in South Suburban Conference play.

Lakeville North 78, Shakopee 41: Nathan Reuvers scored 17 points and Ethan Igbanugo 16 to lead the Class 4A, No. 4 Panthers past the host Sabers. Teammate Tanner Tuma finished with 14. Jacob Adelman led the Sabers with 12 points. The Panthers (24-2) finished in second place in the South Suburban Conference. Their only two losses this season came against Apple Valley.

DeLaSalle 62, Eden Prairie 57: The Islanders, the top team in Class 3A, defeated the visiting Eagles at home behind Gabe Kalscheur's 21 points. Teammate Tyrell Terry finished with 18 and Goanar Mar had 14. Will Pahl led the Eagles with 16 points and Kyler Kluge had 14. The Islanders (21-3) finished the regular season 11-0 in the Tri-Metro Conference. They will look to defended their Class 3A state title starting next week during section play.

Orono 61, New Prague 58: Junior center Jarvis Thomas scored 27 points to lead the Class 3A, No. 4 Spartans past the Class 4A, No. 10 Trojans. Teammates Max Bjorklund and Colton Codute added 16 and 13, respectively. Jacob Washa led New Prague with 13 points and Tyler Lindell had 10.
