Former Minnesota Vikings running back Caleb King was sentenced Thursday to 80 hours of community service for punching a man at a party.
King, 25, admitted to interfering with a 911 call and to fifth-degree assault. The University of Georgia alumnus was charged last year with punching a man in the face at a birthday party in Oak Grove, causing the man to have to get 19 stitches.
Beside community service, he received two years of probation and must attend anger-management classes.
King, a Georgia native, was an NFL rookie in 2011. He was released from the Vikings three days after his arrest.
