Here's a rising high school coach worth keeping an eye on for Gophers fans.

Lamanzer Williams, an All-American defensive end at Minnesota in 1997, has been named head coach at Holland (Mi.) High School, which won a district championship last year. Williams is currently the athletic director and head football coach at Inkster High School.

Williams holds the Gophers' single-season record for sacks, totalling 18.5 in 1997. He had 24 tackles for losses that season, which is also a Minnesota record.
