This from Phil Miller:
Timberwolves point guard Jonny Flynn will likely miss training camp this fall, after undergoing surgery Tuesday to repair a tear in the labrum of his left hip.
The surgery, performed by Dr. Marc Philippon of The Steadman Clinic in Vail, Colo., will require three to four months of recovery time, which could also cost Flynn the first month of his second NBA season.
Flynn was hampered by the injury in the final weeks of his rookie season, in which he averaged 13.5 points and 4.4 assists in starting all but the last game. He also missed the Vegas Summer League before electing to have his hip repaired.
