Pedro Florimon will make his first start this spring as the Twins play host to the Rays tonight at Hammond Stadium. Florimon had his appendix removed during the opening week of camp and needed time to recover. He's played eight innings over two games on the minor league side and now needs as many games as he can get to get ready for the regular season. Expect to see a lot of him over the final 12 games of the spring training schedule.

Phil Hughes pitched in a minor league game today, which is why Worley is starting this game. He could use a big outing to improve his chances of making the team.

Will check back later with updates.

UPDATE: Hughes gave up a run over six innings with one walk and six strikeouts. Brian Duensing and Casey Fien each tossed a scoreless inning as they all dominated some poor Class A team.
