A 21-player U.S. team, made up of players in the European pro leagues, has been picked to play in the Deutschland Cup from Nov. 11-13 in Munich.

Five of the players are former Minnesotans: G John Curry of Shorewood, D Steve Wagner of Grand Rapids, F Brandon Bochenski of Blaine, F Ben Eaves of Minneapolis and F Marty Sertich of Roseville.

Curry, a Breck grad, played for Boston University from 2003-07. Wagner played for Minnesota State Mankato from 2004-07. Bochenski played for North Dakota from 2001-04. Eaves was born in Minneapolis, played high school hockey at Shattuck-St. Mary's and college hockey at Boston College. As a pro he has played in the AHL and in Europe. Sertich played for Colorado College from 2002-06 and won the Hobey Baker as a junior in '05.

Also on the U.S. roster is D Barry Tallackson, an ex-Gopher. He played at the U of M from 2001-05.

The U.S. team will play Slovakia, Switzerland and Germany in the three-day Deutschland Cup.
