GORILLA FOREST

This week Como Park Zoo primates have a new "forest" to hang out in. The exhibit has been overhauled to accommodate seven gorillas, six of whom are new to the zoo. The habitat is the largest all-mesh gorilla enclosure in North America. After exploring and learning about gorillas, guests can participate in themed activities. See a story and photo gallery at www.startribune.com/lifestyle. (1-6 p.m. Fri.-Sun. Como Park Zoo and Conservatory, 1225 Estabrook Dr., St. Paul. www.comozoo conservatory.org.)

FREE SECOND SATURDAY

The weather hasn't exactly been cooperative for outdoor springtime activities lately. Get a deeper look into Mother Nature at "Wind & Weather" this weekend at the Bakken Museum. Visitors can see how turbines and windmills work and create your own to take home. Purchase a wind-powered mini-car kit and race others throughout the day. (10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sat. Free. 3537 Zenith Av. S., Mpls. www.thebakken.org.)
