A unique form of summer family entertainment hits Stillwater Sunday night, when the Drum Beauty show brings the

music, motion and pageantry of elite drum and bugle corps to the Twin Cities. The annual event features several of the top-notch World Class corps from the Drum Corps International summer tour, including the historically popular Madison Scouts and Cavaliers, as well as award-winning regional corps the Govenaires and Minnesota Brass. The event, which will feature more than 1,000 performers -- brass, percussion and color guard -- in nine corps, serves as a great preview of the July 17 DCI Minnesota show at the University of Minnesota's TCF Stadium -- or a smaller-scale subsitute for those who might be overwhelmed by the two dozen corps at that 8+-hour regional event.

Corps appearing at Drum Beauty are (in alphabetical order):

Blue Stars* (LaCrosse, Wis.)
Cadets* (Allentown, Pa.)
Cavaliers (Rosemont, Ill.)
Colt Cadets (Dubuque, Iowa)
Colts* (Dubuque)
Govenaires (St. Peter)
Madison Scouts* (Madison, Wis.)
Minnesota Brass (St. Paul)
Racine Scouts (Racine, Wis.)
* DCI World Class corps
