Authorities said Thursday that they are still looking for a damaged pickup truck and the driver who struck and severely injured a man who was helping his friend with their stalled vehicle along Interstate 35 near Hinckley on Monday night.

Trevor Langlois, 24, of Wyoming, Minn., was hit about 10:50 p.m. along I-35 by a late-model Ford F-150. He was taken to a Duluth hospital in critical condition, according to the Pine County Sheriff's Office.

Langlois and Chaz L. Paulson, 24, of White Bear Lake, had pulled off the interstate near the southbound entrance ramp when Langlois' GMC pickup developed a problem.

When Langlois was out of his vehicle he was struck by the F-150 as it entered the interstate, the Sheriff's Office said.

Based on evidence at the scene, the sought-after pickup is a 2010 or newer Ford F-150 XLT four-door and should have a passenger-side mirror that it is partly missing, along with moderate to heavy damage to the right front bumper, hood and quarter panel.

As of Thursday morning, Sheriff Robin Cole said the driver and the Ford pickup have yet to be located.

Anyone with information about the case should call the State Patrol at 1-218-723-4992.
