Here are Picks 2-5 ...
No. 2: Jaguars.
The pick: Luke Joeckel, OT, Texas A&M
The skinny: Like the first pick, the second pick was another safe one. An offensive tackle. Joeckel probably will move to right tackle, considering the Jags have Eugene Monroe at left tackle. Jacksonville still is not a very good team, but new GM David Caldwell appears to have given his team a solid foundation with bookend tackles.
No. 3: Dolphins
The pick: Dion Jordan, DL/OLB, Oregon
The skinny: With their first first-round pick since 2010, the Raiders ... traded their pick to Miami, which threw everyone a curveball by not taking left tackle Lane Johnson of Oklahoma to replace departed Jake Long. Instead, the Dolphins, who traded up from No. 12, took the best pass rusher in the draft in Jordan. The Raiders, who are in total rebuilding mode, get the 12th pick and Miami's second-rounder, the 42nd overall.
No. 4: Eagles
The pick: Lane Johnson, OT, Oklahoma
The skinny: Philly's new 3-4 defense isn't happy, but battered Eagles quarterback Michael Vick is happy. Johnson is a left tackle, but could switch to right tackle considering Vick is a left-handed QB.
No. 5: Lions
The pick: Ziggy Ansah, DE, Brigham Young
The skinny: This is a serious boom-or-bust prospect who didn't even know what football wa when he moved from Ghana five years ago. He came out of nowhere and is now the fifth overall pick after one standout season. The Lions fill a definite need at pass rusher now that Cliff Avril and Kyle Vanden Bosch are no longer with the team.
