Prices at the fun-loving, easygoing Smack Shack (603 Washington Av. N., Mpls., 612-259-7288, www.smack-shack.com) generally hover in the reasonably affordable side of the equation, but the prices get downright cheap during happy hour (3 to 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. to midnight, weekdays). That's when $1 buys fries, or a fresh Blue Point oyster or a pair of Littleneck clams. Scoot up to the $3 level, and it's pork or short-rib tacos, corn-shrimp fritters or oyster sliders. Splurge at $5 for a three-piece jumbo shrimp cocktail or a half-dozen chicken wings.
