Potpourri for $100, Alex.

Yep, I'm all over the Twin Cities with a combo of deals with only one things in common--they're all on sale.

Thymes fragrances and lotions are 50 percent off. No, this isn't an early warehouse sale but rather 50 percent off discontinued products at Thymes website. Twenty-one items are on sale from the Offerings, Wild Ginger and Red Cherie lines. Should you buy now or wait until the October warehouse sale? Buy now if you need them, but chances are that these scents will also show up at the warehouse later, maybe even at lower prices. And don't panic that your fave scent is going away. Thymes appears to be following a smart trend of "discontinuing" scents to increase interest and then bringing them back in a year or two. Bath & Body Works does this too.

Moss Envy (3056 Excelsior Blvd., Mpls., 612-374-4581) is discounting its organic bedding and bath items 20 percent including pillows, pillow cases, sheets, blankets, duvets, comforters, toppers, pads, and bath towels made from cotton and bamboo. If you haven't tried bamboo/cotton towels, check them out. I have some from Lands' End that are a favorite for softness and drying ability. (Lands' End has since discontinued them.) Get the 20 percent discount at the store or use the code DISCOUNT12 online. Moss Envy is the former Twin Cities Green store, which was near Uptown. It's a gift and home shop that includes some eco-items.

, the venerable men's store on the ground floor of the IDS Center in downtown Minneapolis, is in the middle of its Down to Nothing sale. New markdowns are being taken today on fall winter merch. Starting today, buy three sportwear items and save 50 percent on the three. Neckties have the same offer. You can't choose from all the ties and sportwear but manager Brad Sherman said that the sale selection is large.

Crowdcut, the daily deal site, introduces a new wrinkle in its deals today. They are introducing a video deal, and this one features local foodie celeb Andrew Zimmern and "Bizarre Foods" host. Whether Chef Andrew is to your liking or not, his deal is a good one--$25 for $50 worth of Japanese food and drinks at Fuji Ya in Minneapolis and St. Paul. Sushi deals are uncommon on the daily deal sites, and Fuji Ya is one of the bst sushi spots in the TC, said Zimmern. The video is nicely done, but do most of us want to spend more than two minutes hearing about a deal, especially if we're getting multiple site offers? Maybe not, but I did enjoy knowing, courtesy of Zimmern, that Fuji Ya offers good grilled fish too, not just the raw stuff. And Zimmern pointed out his favorite grilled

dish, yellow tail. Also, it's nice that the deal is for $50--a lot of restaurant deals are now being lowered to $30 or $25.
