Thank god it's Black Friday: There's a good chance that after awakening from a Thanksgiving food coma, you'll go gaga for retailers on Black Friday. Shopping is painful enough, especially on this money-blowing, advertiser-anointed holiday. We suggest dulling your senses with discount drinks along the way.

Rojo Mexican Grill

1602 West End Blvd., St. Louis Park • 952-657-5385 • www.rojomexicangrill.com

If you're hitting the Shops at West End, plan a margarita pit stop at this cantina. From 3-6 p.m. Monday through Friday its Rojo Margarita is $5.50, while Dos Equis and Michelob Golden Light taps are $4. Enjoy half-priced select appetizers and other drink specials after a grueling day of traversing stores.

Pig & Fiddle

3812 W. 50th St., Mpls. • 952-955-8385 • www.pignfiddle.com

Fellas and their beer-lovin' gals should consider a Black Friday sweep of the 50th & France shopping district, if only for the post-spree brews. At this gastropub, all 36 taps are $2 off, as are wines and rail drinks, between 4-6 p.m. (and 10 p.m.-midnight) Monday through Friday. Proof that you don't need to get up at 3 a.m. to find a Black Friday bargain.

Crave

3520 W. 70th St., Edina • 952-697-6000 • www.craveamerica.com

The stores (er, "Shops of Distinction") at the Galleria have the overpricing thing down pat. But there are steals to be found during Crave's 3-6 p.m. weekday happy hour, when assorted sushi rolls, bites, beers and drinks fall in the $3-$5 range, and select specialty cocktails are just $6. Normally, we're cool with overcharging well-off suburbanites, but deal-seekers will dig this Galleria eatery.
