Medtronic Inc., Fridley, said it has received the CE Mark and will begin the European launch of the Attain Performa portfolio of quadripolar leads. Paired with Medtronic Viva /Brava Quad cardiac resynchronization therapy defibrillators, the Attain Performa left-heart leads provide additional options for physicians of heart failure patients.

PERFORMANCE

Xcel Energy Inc., Minneapolis, said that operators at the Monticello nuclear plant began a scheduled refueling outage during which work to increase the plant's output by 71 megawatts will be completed. During the Monticello outage, workers will complete major equipment upgrades to increase the plant's generating capacity. The work will increase the unit's capacity to 671 megawatts and improve plant efficiency.

Wireless Ronin Technologies Inc., Minnetonka, has entered into agreements to sell about $1.56 million of its securities in a registered direct offering. The company will issue 868,000 units at a price of $1.80 per unit, with each unit consisting of one share of common stock, and one five-year warrant to purchase 0.50 of a share of common stock, with exercisability commencing six months and one day after issuance, at an exercise price of $2.73 per share. The company expects net proceeds at closing of about $1.3 million, which it plans to use for general corporate purposes, including working capital. Roth Capital Partners acted as the company's placement agent for the transaction.
