Year-end salvage sale

Free admission at the Arb
Now that the holiday hubbub is winding down, it's time to refresh your spirits and recharge your batteries.
You can explore winter's beauty at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, which is offering free admission daily in January (a savings of $12 per person).
The Arb has 16 miles of trails for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing, plus snowshoe rentals in the Oswald Visitor Center. Or you can walk the groomed paths throughout the perennial and wildflower gardens and see nature's handiwork.
On Jan. 2, the Excelsior Farmers Market is coming to the Visitor Center, where local vendors will be selling pickles, cheese, honey, handicrafts and more, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
